GW1
Complete Lab 24 (Handout in Class) #4, 5, 6, 7
GW2
   - Find the area enclosed by one loop of
 r = 2cos(nt), n = 1, 2, 3, ...
- Find the total area enclosed by each rose
 r = 2cos(nt), n = 1, 2, 3, ...
GW3
   - Find two journal articles referencing conic sections.
 E-mail the reference to me. The first group to reference a work gets credit.
- Find a reference to conic sections on the world wide web other than in a course syllabus
 Follow the same rules as above.
- Choose one of the following 3 projects and prepare a class presentation.

             - Why are conic sections called conic sections?
 Give mathematical as well as intuitive reasons.
- What are the reflective properties of each of the conic sections?
 Give examples and mathematical justifications.
- Construct a large conic section of each type.
 Give mathematical details of the construction.
 Large = wall size--the bigger the better.

Presentations should
     - Address the question

- Involve every member of the group

- Contain some interesting mathematics

- Have a handout. (If you need help making handouts, see me.)
