The Saturday, September 12, 2015, featured event is the Pirates vs the Milwaukee Brewers game. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. at PNC Park on Pittsburgh's North Shore. A fireworks show will follow the game. A reserved blocks of seats is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some of the seats are in section 131 and the cost is $44 per ticket. A $5 food credit is included in this price. Six of these seats are handicapped accessible. The remainder of the seats are located in sections 327 and 330. The cost is $28 per ticket.
If you wish to attend the game, here is what to do:
1. Mail your check, made payable to the Pittsburgh Pirates, for the full price of the tickets you desire. Mailing address is Ken Pepperney, 104 Latimore Court, Venetia PA 15367.
2. The reservations for the Pirates game must be sent to Ken no later than June 23.
3. Include a note with the address where you would like your tickets mailed. All tickets will be sent by regular mail directly to you by the Pirates organization. You can expect to receive your tickets in early to mid-August.
4. If you need handicapped accessible seats, please specify. Also, please choose an alternate seat selection, if any, that you would accept if the seats you select are not available.
If you have any questions about the game, please feel free to contact Ken by phone at 724-941-5940 or via email.
NOTE: If demand for seats exceeds supply, Ken Pepperney will notify you and either destroy your check or return it to you at your option.
Parking for the game is available in stadium lots and private lots in the surrounding area. Fireworks Night is always a sell-out and parking will be in high demand. The Pirates emphasize that they do not control parking in any of these lots and suggest you reserve a parking spot in advance "online" by using "Parking Panda." (Stadium gates will open at 5:30 p.m.)
An alternative to driving to the game is taking the trolley (the "T") from the South Hills. Lines to the North Shore, with a stop near PNC Park, originate at South Hills Village, where there is a multi-story parking garage. In Library there is a large ground-level parking lot. There are also some parking lots at trolley stops along the way into town. There is a good map of the various trolley stops and parking lots accessible via Google. Just Google the Pittsburgh trolley and click on "Light Rail System." Information about fares and schedules is available at the Port Authority web site.
